Working across time zones without the 7am call
Small habits that make a distributed team feel close, even when nobody is online at the same time.

When your team is spread across the globe, the hardest part isn’t the work. It’s the overlap.
Write things down by default
Decisions made in a call disappear. Decisions made in writing can be read by everyone, whenever their day begins.
Respect the morning
Schedule check-ins for each person’s own morning, not one global time.
Keep one overlap hour
A single shared hour a week is often enough for the conversations that do need a call.
